The OMERS Plan is built for the long term and your pension payments will continue to be paid in full and on time, as they have been for the past 58 years. Our focus is on ensuring that OMERS remains sustainable, affordable and meaningful for decades to come.
Improving our services for you
To better serve you, we have modernized and enhanced services through myOMERS, our member portal. Today, you can better prepare for your retirement using a number of new features including our Retirement Planner. Later this year, we plan on piloting live chat functionality to allow you to connect directly with one of our experienced member service representatives.

Another priority for this year is to make strides towards OMERS becoming a leader in sustainable investing. Some of you have expressed interest in understanding how OMERS is investing your retirement savings and how the impact of climate change, for example, is factored into investment strategies. Following our first comprehensive total portfolio study, which looked at our holdings through the lens of climate change, OMERS committed to reducing the carbon intensity of our portfolio by 20% over the next five years.
As outlined in our Annual Report, we have made a number of important adjustments that lend additional strength to our approach as we build toward the future.
